Thank you so much Ming, Im always honored when I win a contest. Im up against the most amazing artists & photographers! Thanks to anyone out there who voted for my drawing. This is a friend of mine & his newborn son. There is a twin sister, & I did the drawing of the mom, with the baby girl. This is a wonderful piece, so beautiful... what kind of paper did you use? and did you use exclusively charcoal, pencil? vine?
Carla Carson replied:
Hi Sue, I use 18X24 Strathmore premium recycled paper. Nothing special. #6 soft charcoal pencils & any chunks of charcoal willow & artists loft. I render most of my pictures using my fingers & kneaded eraser. I like to make a pool of charcoal dust & dip my finger in it & render away!
