Thank You GC! It was one of the kittys I used to pet sit for. I owned my own Pet Sitting Service for 12 years!!! WOW!
MM Anderson
What a beautiful pastel! The softness of the fur is perfect.
Carla Carson replied:
Thank You so much MM! This was actually my first time using soft chalky pastels! Now I use them along side of my charcoal always! Your so kind.. :)
Chris Gudger
Thank you so very much for favoriting "grizzly Falls Fog"
Carla Carson replied:
Your very welcome Chris! I like your photography work. I tend to lean more towards the misty & moody side of things with no bright flashy colors. Keep up the great work, I will keep checking for new photos! Carla :)
Pamela Humbargar
Beautiful work...so precious and dreamy!
Carla Carson replied:
Thank you so much Pamela, I saw your pet portraits & they are so wonderful. Carla :)

This reminds me of the many times that I have stopped to watch my kitties sleep. There is nothing so peaceful as to watch a happy contented cat having "kittie dreams" (the paw twitch). Your drawing has captured that feling perfectly.
Carla Carson replied:
Aw, thank you Chris for the sweet comment :) I have 3 himmys & they are my spoiled babies!!! My one cat Elvis actually always wants me to hold him like a child & he wraps his arms around my neck & burys his face in my neck lol they all sleep on their backs, Oh, & Elvis also has a fake pet ferrit he carries around with him & grooms it & sleeps with it!!! ha ha ha Thanks again for the wonderful comment, it made me smile :D Carla :)
Celene Terry
Makes me want to whip out my pastels right now! This is wonderful!
Carla Carson replied:
Oh thank you sooo very much Celene! how sweet :) I need to draw or paint my own kiities!!! I used to own a pet sitting service & ran it for 12 years! I took alot of pictures of my clients pets! I then was doing pet portraits on the side of that! This is one of my clients cats that I photographed lol! Im a huge animal lover. (worked in a pet shop & Veterinary clinic as well) anyways, that is how this picture came to be. Thank you once again, Carla :)

I've had cats all my life and this just captures the classic cat nap! I can see every cat I've ever known in this drawing. I love the use of color and composition, how it fades out at the top. Just beautiful!
Carla Carson replied:
Thank you so much Liz, what a wonderful compliment. I have 3 Himmalayans. Before these guys I had a wonderful cat named Winston. He was my watchcat. He caught a peeping tom & a car stero theif for me. He would would growl & go crazy when he sensed something bad. He lived to be 20. I have no children, so my kitties are spoiled! Thank you so much!
Emna Bonano
Beautiful art pieces....
Carla Carson replied:
Thank you so much Emna. Im working on one now with colored chalk again. Breaking away again from the black & white. I think you will enjoy my next one. Again, thank you for the kindness, Carla :)

A perfectly captured moment of peace, then comes the tearing through the house, winding around the ankles, demanding food and petting - how can anyone not LOVE cats. You've done a beautiful job, Carla. Thank you so much for your visit:>)
Carla Carson replied:
Ha ha ha, so nicely said Carol, yep, they are my sweeties until I have to give them their haircuts, then they are NOT very nice to me!! lol! Thank you so much for your generous words. I love your work & favorited a few as well! Carla :)

I am so happy that my words and my art touched you this way..... this is what makes in more worth doing it!!! On my website, in my intro, I said just that - doing art for myself was great, but sharing it with others and affecting them through it, makes all the difference! Thank you for reminding me of that! Since you liked what I wrote, you might also like my poems, which I write to accompany my paintings. There is a new thread/discussion in on of the groups (http://fineartamerica.com/groups/faa-gallery-home-for-all-artists-who-create-.html?showmessage=true&messageid=385931) where you can post your poems. So far, I'm the only one there...... PS. I just LOVE all your "other" drawings..... I didn't comment on any of them because I couldn't see the keyboard through all the drool.... ;-) ). Ania
Carla Carson replied:
Oh, how funny! I should join that group as I also write poems! Im not that great, but it is also another way of expressing my emotions. I keep a book beside my bed, because they the poems) usually come to me in a dream..... Funny, after I wrote that about your painting, of course I dreamt of the giant wave as usual! ha ha ha You can drool all over my pictures as much as you want, its better than crying over them which I have done while creating a few :( Kurt Cobain, broken promise, painful ending, Christ, just to name a few

This is so precious Carla. I'm in awe of your art....... whatever I could say wouldn't be good enough to describe how I feel about your talent!
Carla Carson replied:
Wow! Thank you sooooo much! That just about says it all!!! now I dont know what to say! What a wonderful compliment! You just made my day, thank you , I needed that Ania. Thank You... Thank You....
Carla Carson replied:
Ania, I just got done reading your bio & broke down with tears. Funny you favorited my cat drawing. Without my cats & my art, I dont know how I would survive! I too heal myself through my art as a release of my emotions. Thank you again for your kind & encouraging words. This is a new pivot point for me thanks to you! I wish you all the best & success, Carla
