Excellent .. I went to see the Steelers play once in their old stadium, this image has brought back some happy memories, thank you .. well crafted and well done
Carla Carson replied:
Thank You again Eugene. Im originally from Pittsburgh, & graduated from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh way back when. My first job out of AIP was Picture Pages with Bill Cosby designing childrens workbooks. Franco Harris owned part of that & would come into the studio from time to time. He was a super nice guy. I played in the band in school, & we performed at one of the games. They loved us! We brought out a huge American flag that just about covered the entire field! Now I brought back some of my own memories! Now I'm missing it again. Thank You so much again, you are so kind! CC :)

Carla, I was born and raised in Pittsburgh and I can't tell you how much I love the Steelers and Hine Ward! This is AMAZING. His smile was the first thing that caught my attention and you captured it! Way to go.
Carla Carson replied:
Me too! But I moved to AZ in 90... my how life tends to get away from us so quickly. I graduated from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh back in 85. It is a beautiful & amazing city. And yes, if your from Pittsburgh, you will forever be a Steelers fan! I love Hines, he does have a contagious smile doesnt he???? I think I posted above that while drawing him, I kept smiling to myself! Is he married??? lol!!! so cute :D Oh!!!! I forgot to thank you for the wonderful compliment on this drawing! Thank you Michele! See?? I was blinded by his smile! ha ha ha Carla :)

Carla Carson replied:
I have to say this Curtis, I remember the first time when Franco came in my little studio to shake my hand. I thought wow, he has such nice skin, soft hands, & a soft & gentle voice. He is such a gentle giant & very kind. I also remember my mom yelling at me for not asking for his autograph! lol! I was just so shy back then... Again, thank you, Carla :)
